·         Pericardium – Heart is enclosed in a protective membrane called pericardium. Consists of:

Ø  Fibrous Pericardium (outer Layer)

Ø  Serous Pericardium (Inner Layer)

·         Serous Pericardium is divided into

Ø  Parietal pericardium (Outer Layer)

Ø  Visceral pericardium (Inner Layer)

·         Heart Wall layers consists of

Ø  Epicardium (outer layer) also called Visceral pericardium

Ø  Myocardium (Middle layer)

Ø  Endocardium (inner layer of heart and it covers valves)
